This is the start page of the location Düsseldorf of Amazing Capitals. Amazing Capitals is a multi-location project for expats around the world — starting off in Germany's metropolitan areas.

My dear friend Christina von Poser I came up with colors and logos. My dear friend Stefan Nitzsche designed the start page. I did "the rest", which was a sh.. load of work: Information architecture, content strategy, HTML5, CSS3, designs of all sub-pages and different types of sites. Hundreds of hours went into customizing my favorite CMS "ExpressionEngine" to Garry's needs.

The project itself is much bigger than you might see on first glance. The design has evolved massively and I had to come up with an immensely complex and reliable information architecture that at the same time allows a very easily to navigate and to understand interface.

The site requires an enormous flexibility in handling the content: different locations, location "overlapping" content, user rights and editor right management, flexible advertising. All this and more squeezed into a an easily manageable and scalable backend.
